The Applied

Design Lab (ADL)

Where Design Research

Meets Industry, Community,

and Emerging Technology

The Applied Design Lab (ADL) is a design research and innovation lab founded by Professor Zoya Laskowski at the University of the Pacific. Through partnerships with industry, community organizations, and cultural institutions, the lab develops impactful experiences across branding, immersive media, digital platforms, exhibition design, and emerging technologies. By combining research, creative strategy, and hands-on production, ADL transforms ideas into meaningful systems that connect people, places, and stories.
